An interactive toy is a vibrator the model wears that reacts to your tips. Lovense Lush is the best-known one — well enough known that "lush" has become the generic word for the whole category in cam rooms — but the mechanic is the same whatever the brand: a tip arrives, the toy buzzes, and how hard and how long it buzzes scales with the amount. It's the one thing in a cam room that makes something physically happen to the person on screen because you did it, which is why it changed how free chat works on every site that allows it.

How a buzz actually works

The model sets the levels before she goes live: a small tip gets a short, low buzz; a bigger tip gets a longer, stronger one; the top tiers typically run for a good stretch at full strength. She chooses the thresholds and the patterns, so the same tip can mean quite different things in two different rooms — always read her menu rather than assuming. Tips also usually queue rather than cancel each other out, which is why a busy free room can keep a toy going for minutes on nothing but small amounts from a dozen people.

Reading the tip menu

Most toy rooms pin a tip menu in the chat or on the profile: the buzz tiers, plus extras. The phrases you'll see:

• "Buzz me" / "lush on" — the toy is live and connected; tip to trigger it.
• Tip menu — the list of amounts and what each one does, buzz levels included.
• Random level — a set amount where the toy picks the intensity for you. A small gamble, and popular for that reason.
• Control — a purchase that lets one viewer drive the toy directly for a set time instead of firing a single buzz. Typically the most expensive line on the menu, and the one people mean when they say the toy makes cam different from video.

Free chat vs private with a toy

The toy works in both. In free chat, tipping the toy is the main way to interact without paying for a private: you're one of many in the room, but a real buzz happens and she reacts to it in front of everyone. That's the whole appeal, and it's why toy rooms tend to feel more alive than rooms where the only lever is "go private". In a private show the toy still runs, but it's just you — and you can combine it with direction, cam2cam, or a JOI-style back-and-forth that the free room can't give you. Tips and private minutes come out of the same balance, so it's worth knowing how the billing works before you start feeding the toy.

What's real and what's performance

The vibration is real — the toy is on, connected, and does what the tip tells it to. The reaction is also a performance. She's working, and part of the job is making the room feel that every tip landed, so a big buzz gets a big response whether or not it was the most intense thirty seconds of her week. That isn't a con and it isn't a contradiction; it's the same deal as any live entertainment. A large tip buys a stronger, longer buzz and usually a reaction to match. It doesn't buy a guaranteed event, and a menu that promises one is a menu, not a contract.

Etiquette

Tip the menu amounts — the tiers exist so nobody has to negotiate mid-buzz. Don't demand a specific reaction for a tiny tip; the lowest tier is a nudge, not a purchase of anything in particular. And the model decides what she performs, toy or no toy. If you want something the menu doesn't list, ask politely in chat or take it to private. Rooms with a toy attract more drive-by tippers than any other kind, which means the regulars who tip the menu and keep the chat pleasant are the ones she actually remembers.

Finding rooms with a toy switched on

On LiveJasmin the room shows an interactive-toy indicator, and this site tracks that flag. At the time of writing, roughly four in ten of the LiveJasmin models we had a toy status for had it switched on — so it's common, but far from universal, and a model who has a toy doesn't always have it connected.
